“Our real enemies are not those living in a distant land whose names or policies we don’t understand; The real enemy is a system that wages war when it’s profitable, the CEOs who lay us off our jobs when it’s profitable, the Insurance Companies who deny us Health care when it’s profitable, the Banks who take away our homes when it’s profitable. Our enemies are not several hundred thousands miles away. They are right here in front of us.”
If things happen in life, most people act on automatic pilot. But once you become aware of your automatic behaviour, you gain the power to stop that behaviour and to make a conscious choice. And you always have a choice.
Your life? Your responsibility. What you want, either conscious or unconscious, you will get. If you are not getting what you really want, you are probably not aware of your unconsciousness. It’s there however. Just listen to the voices or thoughts in your head, experience your emotions and feelings, see them, feel them. You can either resist or ignore them, or accept them. If you do the first, they are not gone and will never go. You can also decide to accept that they are there. That they have the right to be there. Once you do that, they will automatically loose their power and eventually go away. Because they are not you.
If you can become aware of those things, it means that you are actually something bigger than that. Get it?
If you are completely conscious, you realize there is nothing else but this moment, there is just NOW.
Someone who has done something beautiful inside me, which might be what some consider butterflies (and could be very true, since I have something special with those), has sent me this video:
It touched my heart, it might touch yours as well.
After my wonderful experience last year with a butterfly (http://adelweyn.com/?p=277) , again something amazing happened. These little creatures seem to keep on playing an important role in my life.
Last Friday I was sitting in a garden and all of a sudden a very little caterpillar appeared on my finger. So small, so tiny, so lovely. It crawled over my finger, not knowing yet that one day he would grow up to change into butterfly. What is death of one, is creation of another. That’s the lesson butterflies teach me. It’s a natural law, nothing ever really dies, it just transforms into something else.
Well, last week I walked into my appartmentbuilding to find a butterfly sitting on the wall. Remembering my last year experience, I tried again, and again the butterfly walked onto my finger. I took it to my appartment and gave it my full attention for quite some time. It was like he was exploring all my hand and fingers, with his tiny tentacles and his little tongue. Again, like last year, I could touch him and he wouldn’t fly away.
I gave him something to eat and finally put him on the balcony, so he could fly whenever he felt like it.
It was only the next morning I found out that the little butterfly had died. At first I was sad and disappointed, had I done something wrong? But then I understood it. That little butterfly had just transformed into something new, something I probably cannot see with my eyes, but the energy is still there and will always be there. Nothing ever really dies, it just goes into a dimension we humans are yet to discover. But I know it is there, I can feel and see it sometimes.
Strange how things keep on changing in my life. First last month a mayor change in a friendship and business partnership, all within one week and now again within one week from total chaos to complete harmony. It’s what life actually is all about, a rollercoaster with ups and downs and you never know when and how it is going to do. Just enjoy the ride, and know, that the forces of nature are always right. Let all resistence slip away.
Because if you live a life without great moments and without deep depths, you live very “flat”.
It’s like when you’re put on a heart monitor and the line is flat…being emotionally dead. I prefer to experience both the ups and the downs, both of them have the right to be there, I accept them both.
Because beyond good and bad there is peace, innate harmony and unconditional love.
